Stray dog menace: 62-year-old man dies from rabies in Narmada

Narmada: In yet another case of stray dog menace, a 62-year-old man died due to rabies after being bitten by a stray dog 4 months ago.
The victim Gnansinh Vasava, living in Bhor Amli village in Sagbara taluka in Narmada district, was admitted to the new civil hospital in Surat after displaying symptoms of rabies. Unfortunately, he had not taken the anti-rabies vaccine despite being bitten by the dog.
Earlier, Vasava was admitted to a local health centre for 2 days after showing symptoms of rabies, before being transferred to the new civil hospital in Surat for further treatment. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, he passed away during treatment at the hospital. DeshGujarat
