Lawrence Bishnoi brought to Gujarat ATS headquarters after court approved 14 days remand

Ahmedabad: Naliya court in Kutch approved 14-day remands of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in a case of Rs 195 crore drugs found from Jakhau port. Bishnoi was taken to Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) headquarters in Ahmedabad later.

Gujarat ATS brought Lawrence Bishnoi to Gujarat from Patiala jail in Punjab through a transfer warrant. Bishnoi, known as a dreaded criminal was produced in Nalia court. Judicial first-class magistrate AM Shukla approved a 14-day remand of Lawrence Bishnoi. Strict security was set up at the Nalia court compound. The remands are approved till 3 pm on 9th May.

On 14th September 2022, Gujarat ATS seized drugs worth Rs 195 crore from a Pakistani boat in Jakhau port. Gujarat ATS nabbed six Pakistani citizens from the boat. It was found in the inquiry that the drugs were filled in the boat by Pakistani drug mafia Abdulla from Balochistan port. Two others who were going to take the delivery of the drugs named Sartaj and Mohammad Shafi were nabbed. The involvement of Lawrence Bishnoi was found as a receiver in the case. DeshGujarat
