Gujarat govt extends impact fee application deadline by 6 months
June 16, 2023
Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has extended the application deadline for the Impact fee by six months, marking the third extension.
The Gujarat Regularisation of Unauthorised Development Act, 2022 (GRUDA), allows developers and owners of unauthorized structures to apply for regularization by paying an impact fee, which will be utilized for improving local infrastructure. The initial deadline of February 16 was extended to June 17 due to a lacklustre response.
As of June 1, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) had received 36,349 applications, with 700 applications being approved and Rs 7 crore collected in impact fees. The majority of approved applications were for residential construction. DeshGujarat
