Mukhyamantri Bhavishyalakshi Yojana: Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, Green & Renewable Energy, Electrical Mobility in curriculum

Gandhinagar: India has the largest youth population in the globe today. PM Modi is a firm believer in the fact that today’s youth will lead the future of India. The Government of Gujarat has introduced various initiatives to provide world-class facilities and training to the youth that are essential to develop skills in accordance with the changing times.

To ensure that the youth are future-ready, the state government implemented the Mukhyamantri Bhavishyalakshi Kaushalya Vikas Yojana (MBKVY). More than 19,000 students have reaped the benefits of this scheme so far.

More than 19,000 students enrolled in New-Age courses in Gujarat

Keeping pace with technological advancements, Gujarat Government has included various New*-Age courses at ‘Kaushalya-The Skill University’. To add, a large number of students have reaped the benefits of skill development courses under MBKVY. The skills include cloud computing, data analytics, machine learning, advanced CNC machine program, drone pilot, program and manufacturing, green economy and renewable energy, solar PV installer-electrical, sustainable, and natural farming, solar technician, and automotive courses. The students are provided training in various ITIs and affiliated institutes. At present, more than 19,000 have been successfully trained.

Augmented Reality/ Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Laboratory and Centre for Industry 4.0 to be established

The Government of Gujarat has introduced several New-Age courses like Drone Application-remote sensing, precision agriculture, inspection of overhead power lines, search and rescue, and real-time road traffic monitoring.

The Telecom Centre of Excellence is being set up in partnership with Nokia. In addition, AR/VR labs, 8 Institute of Training of Trainers (ITOT), and Centre of Industry 4.0 will be established. Industry 4.0 refers to the transformation of industries through Smart Automation and Technology in the 21st century.

More than one lakh youth trained under Mukhyamantri Apprenticeship Yojana

In addition to MBKVY, more than one lakh youths have been trained under the Mukhyamantri Apprenticeship Yojana. Kaushalya-The Skill University and Gujarat Apex Training Institute are nurturing young talent. More than 2 lakh students are being trained through 125 courses in 600 ITIs operating in the state in collaboration with government and private institutions.

The skill Sector will Revolutionize in 5 years as per WEF Report

According to the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) ‘Future of the Jobs’ report 2023, there will be revolutionary changes in the skills used in various sectors in the coming five years. How an industry adapts to technology will remain important for business development. Today, Gujarat is focusing on these areas by introducing various policies and schemes to ensure that the state leads in contributing to the PM’s vision of a ‘Developed India’ by 2047.
