Sardar Sarovar Dam witnesses above 60 percent level; Last year on same date it was not even 50 percent full

Gandhinagar: Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam in Gujarat is now above 60% full.
The level of water in Narmada dam at 11.00 am today (13th July 2023) is 60.51% full with the present water level at 11.00 am at 124.45 meters against the full reservoir level of 138.68%. Against the designed gross storage of 9460 MCM, the present gross storage is 5724.19 MCM.
Last year on the same date and at the same time, the Sardar Sarovar dam was not even 50% full. It was 48.05% full only.
Heavy inflow of 58,809 cusecs is ongoing against the discharge of 620 cusecs in the river and 4895 cusecs in the canal.
Gujarat’s second largest dam Ukai is lately witnessing a notable inflow of 21,887 cusecs. The dam is 35.48% full with the present level at 94.49 m against the rule level of 101.50 and the full level of 105.16 m. DeshGujarat
