Distortion and insult of Hanuman ji: Hindu saints to hold meet in Sarkhej, Limbdi

Sarkhej: Hindu sadhus are going to hold a meeting at Lambe Hanuman mandir here on Sunday protesting distortion and insult of Hanuman ji by Vadtal branch of Swaminarayan sect.

The Sadhus are going to hold meeting to decide their plan of protests against the distortion and insult of Hindu God Hanuman. The meeting will be held under the banner of Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti.

A larger meeting on the same issue will take place on September 5 in Limbdi.

Another group which is exploring various options for agitation is Akhada Parishad, meeting of which may take place in Junagadh soon.

Dwarka peeth Shankaracharya has also protested Swaminarayan sect’s deceiving tactics of projecting Hanuman as bhakt of Sahajanand Swami.

Asutoshgiri Maharaj has meanwhile today in an interview stated that Sadhus are capable of visiting Salangpur and remove controversial carved murals but they are exploring non-violant options. He went on to say that five thousand saints are ready to sit on fast unto death if Vadtal branch doesn’t remove insulting and distorting images.

It’s worth noting that Vadtal Swaminarayan branch has put carved murals on the platform of Hanuman statue in which Hanuman ji is displayed with folding hand before Sahajanand Swami who happened over 200 years ago.

Vadtal branch of Swaminarayan sect and its main face Nautam Swami are adamant and not ready to remove the controversial murals despite massive opposition across the State and beyond. DeshGujarat
