After extended dry spell, heavy rains likely to return to Gujarat this week

Gandhinagar: After an extended dry spell of over 20 days in most places and only light rain in a few districts, monsoon activity in Gujarat is likely to increase this week. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast for the upcoming week from September 5th to September 11th, predicting light to moderate rain in several districts of Gujarat. However, heavy rainfall is predicted in some districts of South Gujarat on the 9th of September.
On September 5th, light to moderate rain might occur in several districts, namely Kutch, Dwarka, Porbandar, Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Amreli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Surat, Tapi, Navsari, Dang, Valsad, Diu, Daman, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
On September 6th, many districts are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall, except for Jamnagar, Rajkot, Botad, Surendranagar, Morbi, Anand, Kheda, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Banaskantha, and Sabarkantha.
From the 7th to the 10th of September, various places in districts such as Porbandar, Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Dahod, Panchmahal, Kheda, Anand, Vadodara, Chhota Udaipur, Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Navsari, Dang, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman may experience light to moderate rain.
However, Surat, Tapi, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Dadra- NagarHaveli, and Daman are under a yellow warning and are likely to have heavy rainfall on the 9th of September.
