Vadtal gadi to withdraw controversial murals from Salangpur

Shivanand Ashram, Ahmedabad: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today held a two-hour-long Sadbhavna meeting at Shivanand Ashram here over the issue of distortion of Hanuman ji at Salangpur mandir which comes under Vadtal branch of Swaminarayan sect. The meeting was blessed by Vadtal gadi’s Acharya Rakeshprasad Swami and Shankaracharya Sadanand Saraswati, said Parmatmanandji in a media briefing post 8 pm. Parmatmanandji chaired this meeting which was also participated by the chairman of Vadtal mandir, Gadhpur mandir, Dwarkeshlal’s son, Chaitanya Shambhu Maharaj, Krishnamani Maharaj among others.
Parmatmanandji said – the Swaminarayan sect is part of Sanatan parampara, and all saints respect it. The sect doesn’t wish to hurt sentiments. By tomorrow sunrise the panels (murals distorting Hanuman ji) will be withdrawn.
Parmatmanandji said while today’s meeting was over the main prevailing issue of murals at Salangpur mandir, the other meetings will take place covering all branches of Swaminarayan sect. For Samrasta in the society, VHP will hold vichar paramarshak meeting with all sections of Swaminarayan sect. The meeting will involve Hindu saints, VHP and Swaminarayan saints. They all are determined to remove all differences.
Parmatmanandji further stated that Vadtal saints have ordered Swaminarayan saints that no one should make any controversial remarks.
