Rajkot International Airport at Hirasar commences flight operations

Rajkot: Rajkot International Airport has officially commenced its flight operations today with the inaugural flight of an Indigo, (ATR 72) aircraft, which arrived from Indore. The flight was welcomed by customary water cannon salute. The airport was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 27, 2023. With this, the outgoing airport of Rajkot will cease to witness any more air traffic. The new airport is located some 36 kms away from Rajkot at Hirasar. Shifting from the old airport to the new airport completed yesterday. DeshGujarat
