Gujarat CM hand over Rs. 1 crore relief cheque to family of martyred Army jawan Mahipalsinh Vala

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today visited the family of martyr Mahipalsinh Vala and handed over Rs. 1 crore relief cheque. Vala’s family will get Rs. 2.75 crore relief sum from the State, Centre, and the Army including this Rs. 1 crore that has been paid from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Martyr Jawan’s daughter who is presently just one month old will get Rs. 5,000 per month till the age of 25. In addition to this, per month Rs. 5,000 relief each will be given to the widow and the mother of martyr jawan.

Martyr had completed seven years of service in the Army. His family will be given a martyr’s salary, allowance increment etc benefits from the Centre and the Army for the next 12 years. The Centre will give Rs. 25 lakh assistance, J&K govt Rs. 25 lakh, State Bank of India will give Rs. 50 lakh insurance as a DSP account holder, AGI will give Rs. 40 lakh insurance cover money. Rs. 40,000 will be available per month to the family as a special family pension. Rs. 8 lakh will be offered through Armed Forces Battle Casualty to the family of the martyr.
