Gujarat completes 101% of average monsoon rainfall on morning of Sept 20

Gandhinagar: As of 6 am today, Gujarat has received 101.08 percent of the average monsoon season rainfall, totaling 886.03 mm for this season. The Kutch region of Gujarat has received 158.73 percent of its average rainfall, Saurashtra is at 119.68 percent, East Central Gujarat has received 96.11 percent, while the North Gujarat region has received 95.52 percent. South Gujarat is currently at 88.31 percent.
Among the districts, Junagadh has experienced the highest percentage of rainfall, reaching 167.78% of the total monsoon average, followed by Kutch at 158.73% and Gir Somnath at 137.99%. Conversely, the district with the lowest percentage of rainfall so far is Ahmedabad, with only 71.71% of the total monsoon average.
Among the talukas, Bavla taluka in Ahmedabad district has received the lowest percentage of rainfall, at 47.29% of the total monsoon average. On the other hand, Anjar taluka in Kutch has reported the highest percentage of rainfall at 219.15%.
The cumulative rainfall in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, and Rajkot districts so far stands at 71.71%, 86.04%, 77.93%, and 120.82%, respectively. DeshGujarat
