Subsidized Urea stock seized from Maharashtra-bound truck in Gujarat

Vadodara: Karjan Police today seized a stockpile of subsidized urea fertilizer worth ₹18.12 lakhs from a Maharashtra-bound truck near Karjan Toll Plaza.
After receiving a tip-off that this urea was being transported to Maharashtra in a container via Karjan National Highway No. 48, the police heightened security measures. During the inspection near the toll plaza, the police found a stock of subsidized urea fertilizer comprising around 628 bags of suspected urea fertilizer in a Maharashtra bound truck, valued at approximately ₹18.12 lakhs.
The police have filed cases against four individuals in this matter, including the agency operator from Mahesana, the company owner in Maharashtra, and two individuals apprehended with the container. Further investigation is underway. DeshGujarat
