Governor Acharya Devvrat in his address said- ‘A common person is one who walks on a predefined path while a great person is one who makes a new path and brings others to walk on that. Dhirubhai existed when the country was in need of such a person who could arrange employment of people, who could bring economic progress, and who could work for the self-dependency of the nation.  Dhirubhai was a person who born in a small village of Saurashtra in a common family. But he was a Zindadil person who had great willpower. Dhirubhai wanted to do something new for the nation, for the coming generations and he returned from the country abroad and started doing efforts. None other is so authentic to write about Dhirubhai Ambani than Parimalbhai who worked with Dhirubhai.’

‘The governor said he visited the Jamnagar refinery and was surprised to see the net of pipelines. He said lakhs of persons are employed by Dhirubhai. The country which was into import of oil started exporting it.  A phone was a symbol of prestige once. A person would keep his ringtone on in the bus to show others that he has a phone.
