Instead of Governor, a Police Sub Inspector receives Congress party’s memorandum

Gandhinagar: Another day and the main opposition Congress party’s leaders reached the Governor’s house in Gandhinagar to submit another memorandum, this time over the women’s reservation bill.

About 30 to 40 Congress workers gathered outside the Raj Bhavan with a memorandum in their hand. After some time, they were told that five of them could enter inside Raj Bhavan in a car delegated to them.

Accordingly, five persons from the group reached inside gate number two. However, when five persons went inside, a Police Sub Inspector level person received a memorandum. No photograph was taken by Raj Bhavan on this occasion, while the visitors are not allowed to keep mobile phones or cameras without permission inside Raj Bhavan campus.

Among Congress leaders who were present were Ghanshyam Gadhvi who heads the Other Backward Class (OBC) morcha of State Congress and Amit Nayak, who is the State party spokesperson.  They complained before the media that if not the Governor, at least some senior officer could receive their memorandum.
