Spas under police scanner in Gujarat: 1546 places raided in 2 days, 169 FIRs filed, 150 nabbed

Gandhinagar: To curb prostitution activities in the state, Gujarat police during the last two days in a statewide operation conducted raids at 1546 locations including mainly spas and a few hotels.
During this operation, 169 FIRs were registered against 242 accused, leading to the arrest of 150 individuals. Additionally, actions have been taken to revoke the licenses of 32 spa centers and hotels.
This special drive was initiated by the Gujarat Police following the instructions of the Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghvi, in order to combat prostitution activities that were being conducted under the guise of hotels and spa centers.
Today around 695 raids were conducted Yesterday that was Thursday, the law enforcement teams carried out synchronized searches at 851 sites. 103 First Information Reports (FIRs) were lodged against 152 individuals from various regions of the state. Among these 152 individuals, 105 have been apprehended and subjected to legal proceedings.
