Anklav Congress chief suspended after liquor seizure from his residence

Anand: Anklav Congress President Mahendrasinh Parmar has been suspended from the party after liquor was seized from his residence. Parmar, who has been detained by the police, has been removed from all positions in the party.

Leader of the Congress Legislative Party, Amit Chavda, said, “He was apprehended in connection with immoral practices during a raid related to liquor. After investigation, the district congress committee promptly took action against him and suspended him from all positions within the party. Anyone who is guilty, irrespective of his community, party, or caste, shall not be spared. Whatever proceedings need to be taken against him should happen, and our party has immediately suspended him.”

In a police raid, foreign liquors and beer cans were seized from the house of Congress leader Parmar. According to the police, the seized items are valued at ₹95,700. Three people, including Parmar, have been booked.

The police seized 80 bottles of Royal Stag Whiskey worth ₹40,000, 27 McDowell’s bottles worth ₹13,500, and 96 cans of Kingfisher Super Strong Premium Beer worth ₹9,600. DeshGujarat
