Bangladeshi with Al Qaeda link arrested in Surat with fake Aadhar Card

Surat: A Bangladeshi national Abu Bakr Hazrat Ali alias Alim Haq Bayjar Ali Khan (31) was nabbed by city police crime branch of Surat. He was in contact with Al Qaeda’s wanted cadre Humayu Khan via Instagram.
When Police arrived to arrest Abu Bakr, he claimed that he was an Indian citizen. He offered to show Aadhar card in support of his claim. However his Aadhar card turned out to be a fake one.
Police have also recovered two mobile phones and other documents from his possession. Abu was nabbed by Police on Vesu canal road on Thursday afternoon.
Police have also found Abu’s Bangladeshi national identity card’s copy, his birth certificate’s English and Bangla language copies. Abu was living in Ahmedabad by changing his name. Abu had left Ahmedabad and reached Surat two days ago fearing his arrest.
