Vadodara to get another Vande Bharat Express train connectivity to fresh destinations

Vadodara: Vadodara, also known as Baroda, currently has a stoppage of one Vande Bharat Express train, which is the Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express. However, the third-largest city of Gujarat will now get the service of another Vande Bharat Express train, as the Jamnagar-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat train is now extended up to Udhana (Surat).

The Indian Railways recently announced that the Jamnagar-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Train will be extended up to Udhna Railway Station in Surat. The commercial stoppage on this extended route has been provided at Vadodara and Surat Railway stations. This now gives the city of Vadodara one more Vande Bharat Express train.

Jamnagar – Udhna Vande Bharat Express will connect Vadodara to several cities in the Saurashtra region. The train will give Vande Bharat connectivity to Vadodara for destinations like Jamnagar, Rajkot, Wankaner, and Surendranagar in Saurashtra, in addition to Sanand, Viramgam and Ahmedabad. This will make journey faster and most luxurious to these destinations from Vadodara.It is also noteworthy that when the booking will be open for this extended route (Jamnagar – Udhna train) has not been announced by Railways yet.

The existing Vande Bharat train covering Vadodara runs between Mumbai and Gandhinagar. It connects Vadodara to Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar on Northern side and Surat, Vapi, and Mumbai in Southern direction. Vadodara is the third-largest city in Gujarat, having over 22 lakh population (as per VMC).

Recently there were news reports about Vadodara getting a new Vande Bharat Express train that will originate from the city itself and will connect it with Pune in Maharashtra. However, there is no official announcement made regarding this train yet; the trial run for this Vadodara-Pune route was recently conducted recently till Vasai Road. DeshGujarat
