20 years imprisonment to a farmer in Rajkot for cultivation of Ganja

Rajkot: A 55-year old farmer from rural Rajkot has been given 20 years imprisonment and Rs. 1 lakh fine by a local court. Ebhal Rambhal Lavadiya from Satapar village of Kotdasangani belt in Rajkot district was nabbed for cultivation of Ganja (cannabis) in his farm in 2016. The Special Operation Group(SOG) of police had recovered 33 kg ganja, also known as Weed from a four acre farm of Ebhal. Forensic Science Laboratory(FSL) team had later confirmed it was Ganja, also known as Marijuana. DeshGujarat
