Gujarat CM embarks on visit to Japan and Singapore; Govt officials and industrialists part of delegation

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, along with a delegation of state government officials and various prominent industrialists, embarked on a visit to Japan and Singapore to promote the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024.
The delegation left for Tokyo today. On November 26, the members will meet with the Gujarati community. On November 27, they will visit the Indian embassy in Tokyo and meet with the President of JETRO, the Governor of Tokyo, and the Governor of JBIC. A dinner will be hosted by the Indian ambassador to Japan, CB George, at India House on the same day. The Chief Minister will hold one-to-one meetings with leading industrialists in Japan.
On November 29, a roadshow will take place at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, during which the Chief Minister will engage in several one-to-one meetings. After the roadshow, in the evening, the delegation will board a bullet train to Kobe. On November 30, the Chief Minister will meet with the Governor and Mayor of Kobe, followed by a meal with the Gujarati community.
The delegation will then proceed to Singapore, where one-to-one meetings will be held with officials of the Singapore government. They will also visit the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industries. On December 2, the delegation will return to Ahmedabad after site visits.
Seven government officials join CM on this visit:
Seven officers from the Gujarat government, including Raj Kumar (Chief Secretary), Pankaj Joshi (Additional Chief Secretary to CM), SJ Haider (Additional Chief Secretary, Industries & Mines Department), a senior representative from GIFT city, Arti Kanwar, Resident Commissioner to the Gujarat government, Gaurang Makwana, MD of iNDEXTb, and Neel Patel, personal assistant to CM, will accompany the Chief Minister on this two-nation visit.

Several eminent industrialists are set to join CM Bhupendra Patel in the delegation to Japan and Singapore. The notable participants include Pankaj Patel, Chairman of Zydus Lifesciences Ltd; Karan Adani and Sagar Adani of Adani Group; Dhanraj Nathwani, Group President of Reliance Industries Limited; Anshuman Ruia, Director of Essar Group, and various other prominent figures.
The delegation also include Manish Kiri, CMD of Kiri Industries Ltd; Natubhai Patel, CMD of Meghmani Industries Ltd; Vikram Shroff, Vice-Chairman of UPL; Gursharan Singh, Senior VP of Micron Semiconductors; Ranjit Singh, Senior VP of Maruti Suzuki; Kubota Keiji and Takahiro Mori from the Arcelor Mittal group; Chintan Thaker, Group President of Welspun Group; Rahul Shah, COO of Tata Projects; Bhaven Bhatt, Resident Director of Essar Group; Saurin Shah, President of Adani Group; Nilesh Desai, Head of Strategic Business Development at Suzlon Energy; and Ashish Patel, President of Aditya Birla Group.
