IMD predicts two more days of unseasonal light rains in parts of Gujarat

Gandhinagar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) which functions under the Government of India, has today in its latest weather bulletin predicted yet another round of unseasonal rains in parts of Gujarat. However, this time only light rain is predicted, and that too at isolated places in a few districts.

IMD weather bulletin stated – ‘A Cyclonic Circulation lies over Northeast Arabian Sea & adjoining Maharashtra coast between 1.5 km & 3.1 km above mean sea level at 0830 IST of today. Yesterday’s Cyclonic Circulation over southeast Rajasthan & adjoining West Madhya Pradesh extending
up to 1.5 km above mean sea level lies over Central Rajasthan at 3.1 km above mean sea level at 0830 IST of today. Yesterday’s Cyclonic Circulation over Southwest Arabian Sea extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level has become less marked.’

DAY-1
(Valid from time of 29/11/2023 to 0830 Hrs. IST of 30/11/2023) :- Light rain is very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region
namely Dahod, Narmada, Chhotaudepur, Tapi, Dangs, and Valsad. Dry weather is very likely in the remaining districts of the region and in Diu,
Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli.

DAY-2
(Valid from 0830 Hrs. IST of 30/11/2023 to 0830 Hrs. IST of 01/12/2023):- Light rain is very likely at isolated places in the districts of the South Gujarat region namely Navsari, Tapi, Dangs, and Valsad. Dry weather is very likely in the remaining districts of the region and in Diu,
Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli.

From the 1st December morning at 8.30 hours, there shall be dry weather in all districts.

Regarding the winter, the IMD bulletin stated – ‘Gradual rise in minimum temperatures by 2-3 deg C during next 3-4 days, thereafter no large change during subsequent 3-4 days very likely over the region.’
