Surat: The Dream Distribution Income (DDI) wing of the Income Tax conducted search operations today at builder groups in the city, including the premises of builder Sanjay Surana.

Apart from the Surana Group, officials from the DDI Wing have taken action against yarn traders on Ring Road and groups related to the land business. Search operations have been ongoing at more than a dozen locations, including the offices and homes of four businessmen.

The wing came into action mode after receiving a tip-off about tax evasion by groups involved in land deals. It is possible that the wing will continue to function like this in the days to come.
