Surat: Air India Express is likely to start Surat – Dubai flights from 17 December. With this, the passengers from Surat will get connectivity to travel to the United States of America, United Kingdom and other countries via Dubai.

Presently, Surat – Sharjah flights are in operation from Surat international airport. The passenger load on this route stays around 85 percent all the time. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate a new terminal building of Surat airport on 17 December during his visit to the city.

The Prime Minister had performed ground breaking for Rs. 353 crore terminal building expansion, parallel taxi track and aircraft parking etc projects that are now realized. The Prime Minister is likely to inaugurate a new terminal building, three aero bridges, parallel taxi way and aircraft parking area. The Prime Minister is also going to dedicate Surat Diamond Bourse during his 17 December visit.
