Golden Charan Paduka made for Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir of Ayodhya in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: The Charan Padukas of Bhagwan Shri Ram are set to be placed at the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya after the consecration of Lord Sri Rama on January 22, 2024. These Charan Padukas are made of one kg of gold and seven kg of silver.

Srichalla Srinivasa Shastri of Hyderabad has crafted these padukas, which were brought to Ahmedabad from Rameshwaram Dham on Sunday. From here, these padukas will be taken to Somnath Mandir in Prabhas Patan, and later, they will be taken to temple town of Dwarka and then to Badrinath Dham. The padukas will reach Ayodhya on January 19th before the Prana-Pratishtha Mohotsav.

Srichalla Srinivasa had done parikrama of the under-construction temple in Ayodhya for 41 days with these padukas in hand.

In another development, the work on the first floor of the Ram Mandir is now 80 percent complete. Currently, artists are polishing the stone floor and finishing the pillars. The Ram Mandir Trust aims to finish the first-floor construction and finishing touches by the end of December. To ensure timely completion, the number of laborers in the Ram temple complex has been increased from 3200 to 3500.

Carving work is underway on the ceiling, and gold plating is being applied to 14 of the 18 doors on the ground floor.

A complete ban has been placed on the movement of VVIPs at the temple construction site. The trust’s goal is to continue the pace of temple construction without any hindrance. Construction work is ongoing in three shifts of eight hours each, supervised by engineers from L&T and TAC.DeshGujarat
