In Pictures: Golden Charan Padukas made for Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir arrive at Somnath Temple in Gujarat

Prabhas Patan: The Charan Padukas of Bhagwan Shree Ram reached the Somnath Jyotirlinga Dham on Tuesday. These Padukas were honoured by the Somnath Trust through mantra chanting and a shower of flowers.

The Padukas were welcomed by Somnath Trustee JD Parmar, General Manager Vijaysinh Chavda, local dignitaries, and present devotees who welcomed these padukas with Pushpa Varsha and garlanding.

These Padukas, created for Lord Sri Ram, were placed in front of Sri Somnath Jyotirlinga and ritually worshipped by the priest of Sri Somnath Temple.

The Charan Padukas, made of 8 kg of silver covered with gold and intended for offering in the Ram temple, are being taken to various religious places across the country. The Padukas are made of 1 kg gold and 8 kg silver.

Srichal Srinivasa Shastri of Hyderabad crafted these padukas. It is worth mentioning that Srichal Srinivas also circumambulated the temple under construction in Ayodhya for 41 days with these Padukas in his hand. DeshGujarat
