108-foot-long incense stick made in Vadodara lit up in Ayodhya

Vadodara: A 108-foot-long incense stick made and sent from Vadodara was lit up in the temple town of Ayodhya today. Made by Gaupalak Vihabhai Bharwad, this 3.5-foot-wide eco-friendly incense stick is crafted using five types of materials. Now lit, the incense stick will continue to burn for 45 days.

Vihabhai Bharwad, a resident of the Tarsali area of Vadodara, has single-handedly created this incense stick over the last six months outside his home.

The incense stick comprises 3000 kg of Gir cow dung, 91 kg of Gir cow ghee, 280 kg of Devdar tree wood, 376 kg of Gugal, 280 kg of Tal, 280 kg of Jav, 370 kg of Kopra crush, and 425 kg of Havan materials.

A 111-foot-long trailer truck was roped in to carry the stick from Vadodara to Ayodhya, around 1800 km distance. The route covered Vadodara, Halol, Kalol, Godhra, Shahera, Arvalli, Modasa, Shamlaji, Kherwada, Udaipur, Malvada, Savariya Sheth Mandir, Chittor, Bhilwada, Dadiya, Kishangadh, Jaipur, Ghosa Mahendipur, Balaji Choraya, Bharatpur, Faterpur sikri, Agra, Lucknow, Itava, Kanpur, Unao, Barabanki and Ayodhya.
