Lok Sabha Speaker is also in this list. 2 former CM are also in this list. 28 candidates are women. 47 are below 50 age. Schedule Caste are 27, Schedule Tribe are 18, Other Backward Class are 57 in this list. The States covered in today’s list are Uttar Pradesh (51), West Bengal(20), Madhya Pradesh(24), Gujarat(15), Rajasthan(15), Kerala(12). Telangana(9), Assam(11), Jharkhand(11), Chhattisgarh(11), Delhi(5), Jammu & Kashmir(2), Uttarakhand(3), Arunchal Pradesh(2), Goa(1), Tripura(1), Andaman Nicobar(1), Daman & Diu(1).

Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today announced the list of 15 candidates for upcoming Lok Sabha election. Gujarat has total 26 Lok Sabha seats. The first list consists 15 Lok Sabha seats.

Among those repeated are Vinod Chavda on Kutch seat which is reserved for Schedule Caste candidates, Bharatsinh Dabhi on Patan seat, Amitbhai Shah on Gandhinagar seat, Poonamben Madam on Jamnagar seat, Miteshbhai Patel on Anand seat, Devusinh Chauhan on Kheda seat, Mansukh Vasava on Bharuch seat, Prabhubhai Vasava on Bardoli seat and CR Patil on Navsari seat.

Dinesh Makwana (Karnavati city unit BJP spokesperson) and former Deputy Mayor of AMC is new face for Ahmedabad (West) seat which is reserved for Schedule Caste candidates. BJP has dropped incumbent MP Dr. Kirit Solanki. Rajpalsinh Mahendrasinh Jadav is also a new face. He will contest from Panchmahal Lok Sabha seat. BJP Dr. Rekhaben Chaudhary, media convener of North Zone of Gujarat BJP is another new face. She has been fielded from Banaskantha seat.

Union cabinet ministers Parshottam Rupala and Mansukh Mandaviya are fielded from Rajkot and Porbandar Lok Sabha seats.

The seats for which candidates are yet to be announced are Sabarkantha, Mahesana, Ahmedabad East, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Surat, Valsad, Bhavnagar, Amreli, Junagadh and Surendranagar. DeshGujarat
