HyFun Foods to invest Rs. 850 crore in three new plants in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: HyFun Foods, a frozen potato product manufacturer, has revealed plans to invest around Rs 850 crore in setting up three new plants in Gujarat. This expansion aims to achieve an annual revenue target of Rs 5,000 crore by 2028. Additionally, the company will invest Rs 150 crore in a water treatment facility in Gujarat to manage wastewater from its factories.
Currently operating five potato processing plants in Mehsana with an annual capacity of 2.5 lakh tonnes, HyFun Foods supplies a diverse range of ready-to-cook frozen snacks to clients such as Burger King and KFC.
Construction of a potato flakes plant has already begun and is expected to be operational within the year. The other two plants, dedicated to french fries and specialized potato products, are anticipated to be operational by the end of 2025, according to Haresh Karamchandani, MD, and CEO of HyFun Foods.
