PM Modi reacts to I.N.D.I alliance’s ‘Aurangzeb born in Gujarat’ barb

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Wednesday that the opposition has launched the 104th abuse against him by likening him to Aurangzeb and calling for his ‘beheading’.

Speaking at the News18 Rising Bharat summit, Modi said, “We are formulating plans for the first 100 days of our third term. Meanwhile, the opposition is setting new records. Just today, they hurled the 104th abuse against Modi, labeling me as ‘Aurangzeb’ and even calling for my beheading. Amidst these positive and negative things, the world’s largest election is underway…”

The Prime Minister was reacting to the remarks of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, who on Wednesday morning had said, “Shivaji was born in Maharashtra, and Aurangzeb was born in Gujarat, close to Narendra Modi’s village. This explains why the Aurangzeb mindset is targeting us (Maharashtra).”

The video circulated on social media, purportedly showing a meeting of the INDI block where leaders allegedly called for Modi’s ‘beheading’, was shared by BJP leaders. DeshGujarat
