Anand BJP Lok Sabha candidate dismisses rumors
March 23, 2024
Anand: After reports emerged suggesting that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) might replace its candidate Mitesh Patel from the Anand Lok Sabha seat, the sitting MP and candidate Mitesh Patel has dismissed these rumors, affirming that he is the sole candidate contesting from Anand.
Amidst rumors circulating on social media and in the press about the BJP potentially replacing Patel, Miteshbhai Patel took to Facebook to clarify that these rumors hold no truth. He reiterated that he remains the sole candidate representing the BJP in Anand and emphasized the importance of securing victory for all 26 Gujarat seats, including Anand, by a margin of 5 lakh votes. This is especially crucial with Narendra Modi poised to become Prime Minister for the third time and the country’s economy set to rank third globally.
With the Lok Sabha elections just around the corner, both the BJP and Congress have finalized their candidates for most seats in Gujarat. Miteshbhai Patel has been nominated by the BJP for the Anand seat, while Congress has nominated MLA from Aklav and former state Congress president Amitbhai Chavda to contest against him. Both candidates have initiated their campaigns to secure the Anand seat. DeshGujarat
