Capgemini opens office in GIFT City of Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Capgemini has announced the inauguration of its new office in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), Gandhinagar. This milestone marks Capgemini’s unwavering commitment to technological innovation and talent development in Gujarat, India. Capgemini’s India operation is also the Group’s largest platform for innovation and delivery, the company said in a statement.
The new office in Gandhinagar was inaugurated jointly by Ms. Mona K. Khandhar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat, and Mr. Ashwin Yardi, CEO of Capgemini in India. This initiative aligns with Capgemini’s commitment made last year to invest in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City).
The Gandhinagar center is dedicated to developing cutting-edge software applications for various industries, including life sciences, hospitality, consumer products, and retail. Capgemini actively collaborates with local universities and institutes to nurture talent and drive innovation in the region.
As part of its expansion plan, Capgemini aims to create more employment opportunities, particularly for women and underprivileged individuals. By doing so, Capgemini is contributing not only to the economic growth of Gujarat but also to the social development of India, the official statement of the company stated.
