Who is Dr. Hemang Joshi, BJP candidate for Vadodara Lok Sabha seat

Vadodara: Dr. Hemang Joshi is a young face of city level BJP in Vadodara. He is below 40. He is Vice Chairman of School Board of Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC). He is former FGS (Faculty General Secretary) of Faculty of Social Work in Maharaja Sayajirao University of Vadodara. He is also a writer and poet. He is also actively associated in Vrajdham run Vallabh Youth Organization(VYO) as a President of Vadodara unit. A friend of all, Joshi had participated in the Indian Ocean Conference in Australia. By fielding Dr. Hemang Joshi, the party has continued to field Brahmins on Vadodara Lok Sabha seat. It’s worth noting that earlier the party had declared Ranjanben Bhatt as candidate for Vadodara seat for the third time. However later she is replaced with Dr. Hemang Joshi as she withdrew.

Joshi is graduate in physiotherapy and post graduate in human resource management. He has done PhD on leadership in faculty of social work. He is office bearer in Brahmin community organization. He was appointed as Vice chairman of education committee in 2022. He served in health department’s physiotherapy council during 2017-21. He was advisory member in Labour and Employment ministry during 2018-2020. He is founder member of Alidra school in Savli since 2017. He has represented ASEAN in Vietnam, Maldives, UAE and Australia through the Ministry of External Affairs and India Foundation. He is president of Vallabh Youth Organization’s Vadodara district unit. He was coordinator of Akota assembly seat in 2022. He is BJP doctor cell’s youth wing convener. He was elected as GS of Faculty of Social Works in MS University in 2015-2016 through ABVP.

Dr. Joshi was in race to become the president of Vadodara city BJYM but due to age factor he couldn’t get that post. He was later appointed as Vice Chairman in Education Committee.

He was in race to become Education Committee Chairman, but Lok Sabha MP Ranjanben Bhatt recommended Hitesh Patni’s name. When Hitesh Patni passed away, Dr. Joshi was again in race to become Chairman of Education Committee. However Minesh Pandya took over the post.

Dr. Joshi is just 33 years old. He was first appointed in Education Committee by recommendation of former General Secretary of Gujarat BJP, Bhargav Bhatt. Later by city BJP chief Dr. Vijay Shah’s recommendation he was made Vice Chairman.

When Joshi’s name was announced as candidate, he was in Rangotsav function organized by Vrajrajkumar of Vrajdham.
