Gujarat Police Recruitment: Online application process for PSI, Lok Rakshak to start on April 4

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Police Recruitment Board has been established to oversee the recruitment process within the state’s police department. This board will initiate the online application process to fill 12,472 vacancies, starting tomorrow. Positions available include Police Sub Inspector (PSI), Unarmed Police Constable, Armed Police Constable, and Jail Constable.
From April 4 to April 30, interested individuals can submit their applications through the OJAS website at this link: https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in/. Upon application, candidates are required to upload the necessary documents in the prescribed format.
Age Limits and Qualification Requirements for Gujarat Police PSIs and Lok Rakshak
The Police Recruitment Board has defined specific age limits and educational criteria for recruitment, ranging from PSI to jail constable positions. For PSI cadre posts, candidates must be between 21 to 35 years old and hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. Similarly, for the Lok Rakshak cadre, comprising unarmed constables, armed constables, and jail sepoys, the age limits are set between 18 to 33 years, with a minimum educational qualification of passing Class 12 or equivalent.
Applicants have until April 30 to complete their submissions on the OJAS website. General category candidates are required to pay examination and bank charges amounting to Rs. 100 for the entire process. Physical tests and main written tests will be conducted for the PSI cadre, while physical tests and MCQ exams will be conducted for the Lok Rakshak cadre. Both Gujarati and English language skill papers will be required at the PSI level.
