SDB committee urges diamond traders of Mahidharpura to move into bourse

Surat: The newly constituted committee of the Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB) organized a meeting with traders in the 60-year-old Mahidharpura market as part of its efforts to make the bourse operational.

Lalji Patel, the vice-chairman of SDB, mentioned that they are encouraging traders from Mahidharpura and Mini Bazaar to join SDB so that a large number of offices can be set up. He also stated that the committee has conducted meetings in Mumbai as well.

The SDB committee aims to initiate 400 offices in the coming months, and for this purpose, a similar meeting will be held in the Mini Bazaar of Varachha in a few days.

Rajya Sabha MP and Chairman of SDB, Govindbhai Dholakia, told the traders that just as they grew in the Bharat Diamond Bourse in Mumbai, they can grow in SDB as well if they set up offices together, bringing a shift in the whole ecosystem.

Several other SDB officials, including Mathur Savani, Arvind Shah (the president), and vice-presidents Nagji Sakariya and Ashesh Doshi, were also present at the meeting. DeshGujarat
