Banaskantha: Former Gujarat Congress general secretary D. D. Rajput joined the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today. Rajput joined the ruling dispensation at a public rally of Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel in Tharad in North Gujarat.
Rajput, who resigned from the Congress party in March along with several other leaders from the Kshatriya community, was presented with saffron scarfs by CM as he welcomed them to the party. This development comes at a time when the Kshatriya community is protesting the candidature of Union Minister Parshottam Rupala from the Rajkot Lok Sabha seat.
Alpesh Joshi, Youth Congress President, along with 1000 Congress workers and several other leaders from AAP, also joined the party at the event.
DD Rajput, who joined the BJP on this occasion, expressed his admiration for Narendra Modi’s development initiatives, such as the construction of the Ram temple, and stated that he joined the BJP after listening to his conscience. When asked about the Kshatriya movement, he expressed hope for a positive outcome.
Addressing the public meeting, the Chief Minister discussed the development initiatives of the Modi government and stated that he welcomes all the Congress leaders and workers, including D. D. Rajput, who joined the BJP in large numbers today. He emphasized that elections in the country are now fought on the basis of development politics, rather than caste and religion. He praised Narendra Modi’s work, highlighting the need to elect BJP candidates to develop Gujarat and make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister again.
The CM further highlighted the economic progress under PM Modi’s leadership, stating that the economy has improved from the 11th to the 5th position since Modi’s tenure began. He stressed the need to bring the economy to the third position by electing PM Modi for a third term.
The CM emphasized the importance of voting for BJP candidate Rekhaben to continue the development journey initiated by Modi. He urged everyone to support her with a huge majority. DeshGujarat
