3 candidates file nominations for Lok Sabha polls in Gujarat on 1st day; 1 for Waghodia assembly bypoll

Ahmedabad: On the first day of the Lok Sabha election nomination process in Gujarat, three candidates submitted their nominations on April 12th.
All 26 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state, along with five Assembly seats where bypolls are being conducted, are going to vote on May 7.
According to a statement from the state’s Chief Electoral Office, two Independent candidates filed nominations for the Patan and Panchmahal Lok Sabha seats, while a candidate from the Right to Recall Party submitted a nomination for Gandhinagar. Additionally, an Independent candidate filed a nomination for the Waghodia Assembly bypoll.
Nomination forms will be accepted until April 19, with scrutiny scheduled for April 20. Waithdrawal of candidature can be done until 3 am on April 22. DeshGujarat
