Surat: Amidst the ongoing protests from the Kshatriya community against Union Minister Parshottam Rupala, Kshatriya community members of South Gujarat have extended their support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The Kshatriya leader announced this support after a meeting with Gujarat BJP Chief C. R. Patil in Surat.
Shailendrasinh, a Kshatriya leader from Navsari district, stated, “In Kshatriya Dharma, the nation is our first priority, so as per our responsibility, we have supported Patil saheb and will continue to do so in the future. We have no protest against the BJP government.”
“We hold no personal prejudices; our opposition is directed solely at Rupala saheb due to the statement he made. Other than that, we have been together with the BJP and Patil Saheb and will remain with them. Rupala Saheb does not represent the entire BJP,” he added.
Addressing the media after the meeting with Kshatriya leaders, Patil stated, “The Kshatriya community is angered by the statement made by the Rajkot BJP candidate and Union Minister Parshottam Rupala. Today, 108 Kshatriya Samaj leaders from South Gujarat are here; they had also participated in the Rajkot Kshatriya Sammelan. However, they believe that their grievance is directed solely at Rupala and not Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They deeply respect the PM’s contributions to the nation and the state, which is why they are supporting the BJP.”
Patil also mentioned that these leaders approached him directly, expressing their intention to support the BJP under PM Modi’s leadership while tempering their grievances and opposition. He welcomed their openness and thanked them for their support. DeshGujarat
