ACB Gujarat nabs a Royalty Inspector and middleman in bribe case

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed a Royalty Inspector and his aide who worked as a middleman in Narmada district in bribe case.
The accused are Dipak Savariya, Royalty Inspector, class-3(on contract), Geology and Mining department and Kamiyab Ali Masum Ali Seliya, a middleman who works as a Manager in VR Hotel in Vavdi village of Nandod taluka in Narmada district.
According to ACB, a complainant in this case is a river sand trader. Accused Royalty Inspector called him and told that his Royalty-free truck was allowed to pass and if it was captured and seized, the amount of fine payable could be upto Rs. 3 lakh. The accused then demanded Rs. 1 lakh bribe for not seizing the truck. A complainant assured payment of Rs. 60,000 bribe in first installment and Rs. 40,000 bribe in the second installment.
As the complainant was not willing to pay bribe, he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged and a middleman was nabbed after he received Rs. 60,000 bribe. DeshGujarat
