Panchmahal: In another setback to the main opposition party Congress ahead of Lok Sabha polls in the state, its dummy candidate for the Panchmahal seat is set to join the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party today. Dushyantsinh Chauhan, who had filed nomination papers as a dummy candidate for the Lok Sabha elections, will join the BJP in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Dushyantsinh Chauhan’s wife, Rashmika Chauhan, who is the leader of the opposition in the District Panchayat, along with 70 other Congress party office bearers and workers, will also join the BJP. Dushyantsinh was upset with the Congress party for giving the ticket to Gulabsinh Chauhan.

Chauhan, along with his wife and 70 other Congress leaders, met with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday after resigning from the Congress. DeshGujarat
