Heatwave warning in parts of Saurashtra till May 1st

Gandhinagar: With mercury crossing 41°C in many places of Gujarat, heatwaves are very likely to occur in several parts of the state. The Indian Meteorological Department, in its latest forecasts, issued a heatwave warning from today until the 1st of May, Wednesday. According to IMD’s latest bulletin, heatwave conditions are expected to prevail in isolated pockets of Saurashtra, namely Porbandar and Bhavnagar, until the 1st of May.
Weather Warning for next 5 days for Gujarat State Diu, Daman, Dadra & Nagar Haveli
DAY 1: Heat wave condition prevail in isolated pockets of Saurashtra namely Porbandar and
Bhavnagar and Diu.
IMPACT: Moderate temperature. Heat is tolerable for general public but moderate health concern
for vulnerable people e.g. infants, elderly, people with chronic diseases.
SUGGESTED ACTIONS: (a) Avoid heat exposure. (b) Wear lightweight, light-coloured, loose,
cotton clothes (c) Cover your head.

Bhavnagar and Diu.
