Rahul Gandhi campaigns for Congress party in Patan

Patan: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi was in Patan, North Gujarat, to campaign for his party amid the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. Addressing the public there, Gandhi claimed that BJP officials seek opportunities to take advantage of minors and cannot see them benefitting in any way.

Addressing the rally, Rahul said, “We have Lok Sabha elections ahead of us, and there is a fight between two ideologies. The question is whether democracy and the Constitution of India will prevail or not. The BJP-RSS people want to abolish the Constitution, while the Congress party and Indian Alliance are safeguarding the constitution. Whatever we have achieved after independence, education, healthcare, development, and water, whatever the poor people of the country have received, is because of the constitution. And for the first time, the BJP leaders are openly saying that if we win the elections, we will rip apart this constitution.”

Showing a copy of the Constitution in his hand, Gandhi further said, “this constitution saves the poor, marginalized, and farmers. Narendra Modi wants 22 to 25 people to have control over all the money and natural resources of the country.”

Gandhi also stated, “90 IAS officers are running the government in Delhi. They distribute every rupee of the budget. How much money will come to Gujarat, how much will go to the Bullet Train Project, will Agniveer Yojana be there or not, how much scholarship will Dalits and backward classes get, where and how many roads will be made, at what cost, these decisions are taken by 90 IAS officers. Out of 90, only three are from the backward class. They are made to sit behind in a corner. They are given a small department. There is none in the finance ministry. No one in big ministries.”

Two days ago, Rahul’s sister and General Secretary of the Congress party were also in Gujarat, where she campaigned in Valsad district. DeshGujarat
