Jayesh Radadiya wins IFFCO board of directors election

Gandhinagar: BJP MLA Jayesh Radadiya has won the election for the post of Director of IFFCO. BJP – Gujarat chief CR Patil had issued party’s mandate to Bipin Patel (Bipin Gota) for this election and declared him party’s official nominated candidate.

However Jayesh Radadiya didn’t withdraw his nomination against Bipin Gota. With strong voters’ base in Saurashtra and support of IFFCO chief and BJP leader Dilip Sanghani, Radadiya has won the election and got elected as Director. The election for this post has taken place just after polling for Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat concluded. Radadiya was important for party to comfortably win Porbandar Lok Sabha seat and therefore party has gone soft to him. Bipin Gota was comparatively spareable for party. Bipin Gota is known as Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s aide. He is also Coordinator of BJP Gujarat Cooperative cell.

Speaking to media persons, Dilip Sanghani said Radadiya had filed form first on 24th itself while Bipin Gota filed nomination three days after that. Sanghani refused to have any knowledge about any mandate issued by Gujarat BJP chief.

It’s worth noting that CR Patil after becoming party chief in Gujarat decided to issue party’s mandate for candidature in cooperatives elections. Patil also decided one person one post rule for partymen in cooperatives. DeshGujarat
