Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat came into action after it received complains regarding issues faced by students at local government offices to get income, caste and other certificate.
Every year after class-10 and class 12 Gujarat board exam results are declared, a huge number of students visit local government offices to get caste and income related certificates for admission for further studies. Due to influx of applicants, Summer heat and procedural time at govt offices, the students were facing troubles.
Surat BJP MLA Kumar Kanani recently led attention of government over issues the students face and how they need to rope in the agents in compelling situation.
The State government has since then taken several corrective actions to resolve the problems.
-Tents are erected outside the offices where required,
-Fans are arranged at the places where queues take place,
-Token system has been introduced for applicants,
-Waiting rooms are arranged indoor or created under the tent outside,
-Drinking water and cooler facilities are also being offered,
-The Government has shifted more staffers to the task of issuance of various kinds of certificates such as EWS, SEBC etc,
-In some offices, entire staff has been diverted to this task till the influx is reduced to normal days. DeshGujarat
