Third tender process for demolition, reconstruction of Hatkeshwar over bridge through EPC
May 21, 2024
Ahmedabad: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today informed that it has on its website uploaded the tender for demolition and retrofitting/reconstruction of Hatkeshwar flyover bridge for the third time, after no response was received for the same on earlier two occasions.
Hatkeshwar flyover has been closed for traffic since long due to poor quality of its construction. After all technical and expert analysis, the AMC has concluded that the existing bridge is unfit for use.
AMC today informed that two attempts of tender failed last year as there was no taker for the task. These attempts were made on 9 October and 28 December last year. As no bidder was interested, the AMC has decided to demolish the Hatekshwar bridge completely to ground level and after following the procedures of traffic survey and final alignment and the bridge will be built newly through EPC method. A tender has been readied through a design consultant and tender in third attempt has been uploaded on 7 March 2024 on website. The last date to open technical bid is 4 June 2024.DeshGujarat
