Two infants die of heat-related illness in AMC’s Shardaben Hospital

Ahmedabad: Two infant boys lost their lives due to heat-related illnesses at Shardaben Hospital in the city.
The city has been experiencing intense heatwave conditions since last week. Amidst this, a 15-day-old boy from CTM, who was admitted with severe dehydration, expired within 15 hours of admission. Another 10-day-old boy from Rakhiyal, admitted with severe dehydration and hyperthermia, expired within 18 hours of admission. The information was provided by Dr. Bhavin Solanki of Shardaben Hospital, which is run by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
It is also noteworthy, that 41 individuals were admitted to Ahmedabad Civil Hospital through the 108 emergency service due to heatstroke on Friday. Among them, two individuals had reportedly succumbed to heatstroke. DeshGujarat
