Rajkot: A local court has approved 13 days police custody of TRP game zone fire tragedy case accused Dhaval Thakkar.
The city police crime branch has detained Mahesh Rathod, a welder whose mischief caused fire initially. Mahesh Rathod is uncle of the accused Rahul Rathod. Police have started questioning Mahesh, however his arrest is pending as he was under treatment of nominal burn injury in private hospital.
Ahmedabad resident Dhaval Thakkar was nabbed from Abu Road last evening. Booking license of TRP game zone was obtained by Dhaval Thakkar in 2021 and further renewed in 2023.
Dhaval Thakkar and other accused are repeately telling police that Prakash Hiran (Jain) is the main culprit. Prakash Jain, originally from Rajasthan, was lastly seen in CCTV video at the time of initial spread of fire. He is missing since then. His brother believes Prakash could have been dead in fire. His phone numbers are switched off. His car was parked at game zone. Prakash’s mother’s sample has been collected for DNA test. DeshGujarat
