Ahmedabad: The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that the Southwest monsoon is likely to arrive in Gujarat on June 15th. However, pre-monsoon activity is likely to occur in parts of Gujarat over the course of the next 7 days. The latest bulletin of IMD predicts light rainfall activity in parts of Gujarat from June 5th to June 11th.

Light rain or thundershowers are very likely at isolated places in the districts of the Gujarat region, namely
Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli, today.

On June 6th, “a light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind of 30–40 kmph (in gust) accompanied by
Light rain is very likely at isolated places in the districts of the Gujarat region, namely Dahod and Chhota.
Udepur, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli.”

On June 7th, a “light thunderstorm with lightning and surface winds of 30–40 kmph (in gust) accompanied
with light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of the Gujarat region, namely Dahod and Chhota.
Udepur, Narmada, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli.”

On June 8th, a “light thunderstorm with lightning and surface winds of 30–40 kmph (in gust) accompanied
with light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of the Gujarat region, namely Anand,
Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and in
Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli; in the district of Saurashtra, namely Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Gir
Somnath and in Diu.”

On June 9th, “a light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind of 30–40 kmph (in gust) accompanied
with light rain very likely at isolated places in all the districts of the South Gujarat region and in
Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli, and in the districts of the North Gujarat region, namely Mehsana,
Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, and
Mahisagar, in the district of Saurashtra, namely Rajkot, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Gir
Somnath, Botad, and in Diu. ”

On June 10th, “Light to moderate rain/thundershowers very likely at a few places in all the districts of South Gujarat
region and in Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli; in the districts of North Gujarat region namely Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod and Mahisagar. Light rain/thundershowers very likely at isolated places in the district of Saurashtra namely Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath and in Diu.
