Gujarat CM launches anti-Polio vaccination campaign; Over 82 lakh kids to be covered

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today launched statewide anti-polio vaccination drive from Gandhinagar on National Immunization Day.
The state health department plans to cover more than 83 lakh 72 thousand children in the age group of 0 to 5 years under this campaign. For this purpose, 1 lakh 33 thousand 956 health workers will join the operation of giving drops to children from 33,489 polio booths of the state.
This campaign has been carried out by observing Sunday 23 June 2024 as Polio Sunday across the state. On June 24 and 25, health workers will go from house to house and administer polio drops to children aged 0 to 5 years. DeshGujarat
