Two migrants held in Vadodara for extortion calls to shop owner

Vadodara: City police arrested two migrants for extortion. The city-based Kheteshwar Sweets and Farsan shop owner received a threat to pay Rs. 1 crore in extortion money.
The Crime Branch nabbed one migrant criminal from the Pandya Bridge area with a pistol and 6 bullets. The other accused was a former employee of Kheteshwar Sweets. Both accused have been booked for extortion and under the Arms Act.
The shop owner had complained that he had been receiving threats via phone calls since 12th June to pay Rs. 1 crore or face the murder of his child. The former staffer of the shop, Ram Nivas alias Shyam Bhanvarlal Bishnoi from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, emerged as the main culprit in this case, while his aide, PP Mangilal Bishnoi from Rajasthan, was the other accused.
