GMRC plans to erect solar power plants atop 15 Metro stations in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Ltd. floated a tender for the installation of solar power plants atop 15 metro stations in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar as part of Phase II of the metro rail project.

The project aims to cover stations including Sector 1, Infocity, Dholakuva, Randesan, Raisan, GNLU, PDEU, Gift City, Koba Gam, Juna Koba, Koba Circle, Narmada Canal, Tapovan Circle, Vishwakarma College, and Koteshwar Road. The cost for the project is estimated to be Rs 22.50 crore. 

The tender invites proposals for feasibility study, design, engineering, supply, civil works, procurement, erection of suitable structures, installation, testing, commissioning, and comprehensive operation & maintenance for 5 MW (AC) grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic power projects.
